David Hillson was born in 1955 in London UK and lives in the south of England with his wife Liz, who he married in 1978. Their two daughters have left home and are pursuing careers as a biochemist and a children's nurse. David's early interests included music, and he trained as a trombonist and tuba player at a London music college. David enjoys walking and photography, and regularly visits the gym to maintain cardiovascular health. He is also an active member of his local church where he preaches and plays the piano.
